Welcome to Class 3, years 3 and 4!

What a fantastic start to the year! I am so impressed with all of you and can't wait for a fun and exciting year ahead.....

Just to remind you:

PE is on a Monday and children should come to school dressed in their PE kit with sensible outdoor clothing (a waterproof jacket is a good idea!). I will let you know when it is our turn for Yoga.

For the time being, there will be no reading books sent home. Instead, I will be setting electronic reading books.

Spellings will also be set on the class page for the following week. Spelling tests will be on a Wednesday.

I will be sending passwords out soon, for all the programmes we use to support home learning.

Here's to a wonderful year in Class 3, it is great to be back!

Friday 17th July

Good morning Class 4. I cannot believe it is the last day of this academic year!

Although it has been a strange few months, I am so proud of each and every one of you for continuing to work hard at home. Please tell your family members, a big thank you from me for all of their support. You have all been stars!

My darling Year 6s - I am so, so sorry I did not get to see you before the end of the year. You know what I am like, and as I am writing this, the tears are rolling down my face.

As a teacher, it is always a privilege to watch children grow and blossom; but in Year 6 it is always so special to see you ready to leave for your next chapter.

You have given me so much joy and happiness and I would like to say, 'Thank you - thank you, for being you'.

I will miss you all so very much and your new schools are extremely lucky to have you. Remember - to always believe in yourself. The World is your oyster and take each and every opportunity you can. Our school values of; love, friendship, respect and resilience will stand you in good stead for the future.

As today is the last day....there are no lessons! As is tradition, here are Bishopton's Year 6 Oscar Awards.....

Have an amazing Summer Class 4! x

Year 6: there is no Maths today; enjoy your time at home.

I am sorry I have been unable to see you all personally, to wish you goodbye. You all have your own talents; use them well. Make the most of your opportunities and treat the World the way you would like it and those in it, to treat you. I wish everyone of you the very best of luck. I shall miss you!

Here is a reminder of our school prayer, which I share with you for the last time. Hold its message close to you and it will guide you on your way.

Love, Ms Bellis x

Dear Heavenly Father, friend of all children,

Bless our school at Bishopton Redmarshall and the children and teachers who work in it.

Help us to work hard, to do our best and to be kind to one another.

In Jesus's name.

Amen.

Tuesday 14th July

I hope you enjoyed the activities I put on our class page yesterday. Only four days until the Summer Holidays begin! Hopefully, we will have some sunshine this week :-).

Year 6, I know this last week is a little different to how you imagined your primary years would end. I just want to let you know, how proud I am of all of you. You have experienced, what can only be described as a 'once in a lifetime' event. You are all fabulous and your new schools are very lucky to have you!

Lets kick off the day, with a very funny memory of ours. Remember the 'Space Workout' on SuperMovers? What a giggle we had that morning, I think we will all remember Coen's famous dance moves! Click on the SuperMovers link and have a go at it 'Coen style'!

English

Enjoy making a comic strip this morning. It might be about a memory you have in Class 4. One of my funniest memories was when Zach was the policeman in our sketch about 'Point, Evidence, Explain'. Can you remember? I think I was almost crying, I laughed so much!

If you complete this activity, please do send them into the office. I would love to read them!

PSHE - PDSA awareness

After a very poorly pooch over the last week, when this email arrived from the PDSA, it made me think about the types of plants I have in my garden. Spend a bit of time researching which plants are poisonous to either cats of dogs (or both!). Produce a poster which will inform pet owners of what to look out for when buying plants, or pottering in their garden! Please send these posters to me via the school office :-).
