Nursery - Home Learning - Spring Term - Week 6

Good morning everyone. Well done on completing a full half-term of remote learning! You have all worked so hard and should be very proud of yourselves! Also a HUGE thank you to parents for all of the support with home schooling.

Maths:
Have a go at the 'number 4 challenges' below! A lot of you are very confident with counting and recognising numbers to 3 and are beginning to explore up to 5. This is a good task to check your understanding of 4. Have a try!

 

Literacy:

Continue working through the tasks in your letter formation workbook from yesterday. Can you complete them all?
You can also practice your letter and number formation on Doorway Online.


Yoga:
Since it's Friday, lets do some yoga!

Literacy:
I have a pencil control booklet for you to have a go at. There are lots of exercises to help you to write with a pencil. Remember to hold your pencil correctly with the 'tripod grip' (you have all been shown how to do this at school before Christmas and are very good at it!) Give the tasks your best go - Complete some today and some tomorrow.

 

 

Chinese Paper Drums

Have a go at making these Chinese Paper drums in preparation for Chinese New Year! The instructions are linked below.
If you don't have beads at home for the drum, I have included a tutorial video showing you how to make your own paper beads.

Wednesday 10th February 

Good morning everyone. It has been very wintry so far this week with lots of snow and sub-zero temperatures! Wrap up warm and try to get outside to have some fun in the snow if you can!
It's Wednesday which means it will be PE and Music this afternoon!

Continue working through your letter 'p' workbook. See if you can finish all of the tasks today. Don't forget to keep searching for things beginning with 'p'.

Music: Today you have a new lesson to complete on YUMU. Log in, then click on 'assignments' followed by 'Nursery & Reception - Lesson 5'. Have fun!

Good morning boys and girls. There have been some good opportunities to take photos for the Winter Nature Photography Challenge so far this week - don't forget to send me your best 3 photos... There will be prizes for the best judged photos!

Maths:
Warm up your brains ready for learning by playing Bud's Number Garden, then complete the task linked below. 


Don't forget to keep practicing your counting skills and see if you recognise numbers that are inside or outside of your home. There are numbers in lots of places (remote controls, clocks, house-numbers, car number plates etc.) - See if you can spot some!


Literacy:

Yesterday we introduced the letter 'p'. Below is a workbook with various activities in - complete half of them today and save the other half for tomorrow. Give it your best try!



Cleversticks:

Our Key Story this week is Cleversticks. Listen to the story below and then complete the 'chopstick challenge'. This will be a great way for your child to challenge themselves and develop their fine-motor skills.

 

Have a lovely day - have fun exploring and playing in the snow if you have some! Don't forget to wrap up warm as it's very cold this week!

Chinese New Year:

It's almost Chinese New Year! This new year will be the year of the Ox!
Click on the picture above to find out about the 12 animals that make up the Chinese Zodiac.

Have a go at decorating and making a Chinese Lantern - There is a template linked below. Chinese Lanterns are often coloured red and gold, but you can use any colours or decorations that you wish. You will need an adult to help you assemble the lantern once decorated. Have fun!
