Tuesday 2nd February

Good morning boys and girls. Did you manage to have a go at some of your home-learning tasks yesterday? Thanks toe everyone who has been sending in updates, it's really nice to see what you've been up to at home!

Just a reminder: This week is Child Mental Health and Wellbeing Week. Head over to the Mental Health and Wellbeing page to access some useful resources.

Let's start off with a story:

Maths:
Today I would like you to explore the activity linked below, all about times of the day. Cut out the picture cards (or an adult could draw some for you) and decide whether you do those activities during the day, or at night. This is the first step to your child understanding 'time' as a concept. It will also devlop your child's understanding of 'when' questions. Give it your best try!

Literacy
Have a go at the task below, all about the finding the objects that begin with the letter 'c'. Underneath that is another task about tracing and writing the letter 'c'. Try the activities most suited to your ability.

Transport - Maps:

Let's continue our transport themed learning today. I would like you to choose a toy or object at home that represents transport - it could be a toy car, bus, plane, boat or anything else you can access. Then I want you to design and make a map for your transport to travel around!

You could use small-world objects such as tracks or bricks such as LEGO, or you could draw/paint your map on some paper. Remember to include the path that your vehicle will travel along. Try to include different features on your map, such as trees, bridges, beaches or buildings. Give it a go and have fun being creative!

Have a great day everyone! Don't forget there are useful links near the top of this page for you to access different learning resources.
