Nursery - Home Learning - Spring Term - Week 2

Friday 15th January

Good morning and well done for making it through another week of home-learning! Well done for all of your hard work so far. The photos and updates are fab! I've had a few technical issues getting the most recent photos posted on here, but hopefully I'll get them on soon.

Home Learning Tasks - 15.1.21

Let's start off our day with some Yoga!

Maths:
Today we are going to explore measuring! We will be looking at long and short. Follow the link below to see a short video about measuring.

Have a go at ordering the winter items from smallest to largest, or shortest to longest. You may need an and adult to help you cut out the objects. Give it your best try!

Literacy:
Practice writing letters and numbers on Doorway Online. You could also use pencils or paints to practice writing the letters and numbers that you already know, if you feel confident!

Everyone has talents and skills that they are good at - often they are things that you can't see from the outside.

Then, have a go at this 'colour by numbers' task - Match the correct colours to the numbers to colour in the pictures!

You could also challenge yourself and see if you can write all of the letters that we have learned so far!


Little Red Riding Hood - Map:
See if you can control your pencil and lead Little Red Riding Hood to her Grandma's House!

You could extend this by making your own map, leading Little Red Riding Hood to Grandma's house. Make sure to include the path that she takes and features such as trees, rivers or even wild animals! Be creative and have fun!

Today we will continue our home learning by reflecting our regular timetable at school. That means today we will have Music and PE!

Fine Motor Skills:
Do you have playdough or modelling clay at home? If you do, then have a go at this dough activity to help develop your fine motor skills and coordination!

 

Maths:
Follow the link below to access your maths task today. Can you add the correct amount of buttons onto the snowman? If you have playdough, then you could use that for the buttons! If not, draw or even glue some on.
