Friday 29th January

Good morning everyone. It's Friday! Well done for completing your home-learning tasks this week. A brilliant effort by everyone. You are all doing so well! If you haven't registered for the Big Garden Birdwatch this weekend, then head over to the Science page under 'learning' on the school website to find out how to get involved. We're encouraging everyone to have a go and see which garden birds you can see over the weekend.
Also, remember to send through your photos for the Winter Nature Photography Challenge.

Your task today is to complete the different questions on the maths activity mat. There are different questions to quiz you on different areas of maths. Give it your best try! An adult could extend this task by writing some extra, similar questions for you to answer. You could even use objects to help with answering the questions.

Have a go at the following task for phonics. It will be a change to practice and recap the ee, ay and oy sounds. Try to write your words and short sentences as neatly as you can! You are all doing very well with your reading and writing skills!

Log on to Bug Club and explore a story of your choice. If you have read all of your assigned books, then choose a book from 'my library'.
Try to spend 10-15 minutes reading each day.

Transport - Make a boat using recycled materials:

Your task this afternoon is to find some items around your home that you can use to make a boat! Try to look for packaging, cartons and containers that are due to be recycled, or even use wood or other natural materials that you've found outside in nature.
Be creative and see if you can attach a sail or flag to the body of your boat. If your boat floats in water at the end then that's even better! Test it out!
Decorate/design your boat in any way that you like. You might need an adult to help you cut out your materials. Have fun!

Have a brilliant day everyone!
