 Good morning! Today is the final day to compete the the Local SumDog Competition! The competition will finish at 8pm tonight, so log into SumDogs today if you can and have a go! It's great to see lots of you giving it a try already.

Today is Captain Tom Moore's 100th Birthday! He is the WW2 Veteran who has raised over £29million for the NHS this month!

Good morning! A quick reminder that the Local SumDog Competition is still running until Thursday 30th April. Your class, as well as all other classes in school are involved. It's great to see lots of you having a go so far!

Phonics Play is a particularly useful website with games and activities to help secure your  phonics knowledge. https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/Check out the following link to 'History Storytime' to hear a series of podcasts about different historical topics. The podcasts are recorded by two children and their Dad.
https://www.historystorytime.com/Aquafresh (the toothpaste company) are holding a story writing competition for children to enter. The stories have to last 2 minutes when read (the time it takes to brush your teeth!) I have included details below.
There is also a daily chart to mark off each time you brush your teeth - a great way to keep track and make sure your mouths are squeaky clean!

Good morning and well done on completing another week of home-learning!
Are you managing to stay active each day? Don't forget that Joe Wicks is LIVE every day at 09:00am for your daily PE lesson!

Keeping with an active theme - today is National Skipping Day! Try the skipping workout below. If you don't have a skipping rope, you could always swing your arms and imagine you have one!
Skipping Workout:
20x single bounce
20x double bounce
20x alternate foot hops
20x skiers
20x side swings
Repeat for a total of 15 minutes

Find the opportunity today to sit still and quietly. Then have a go at some Guided Relaxation by following the video below, by Cosmic Kids Yoga. It's a great way to relax and unwind after exercising and being active!

Science:

 Saint George's Day!

Good morning everyone.
Saint George's Day in England remembers Saint George, England's patron saint. The anniversary of his death, which is on 23rd April, is seen as England's national day. According to legend, he was a soldier who killed a dragon and saved a princess!

Have a go at an art activity today, linked to St. George's Day. St.
George would have carried a special shield with him. Design and create a shield of your own! Your shield could have lots of your favourite things on it. See the example below.



You could also have a go at completing the St. George's Day word-search and the colour-by-numbers activity.

 Good morning everyone. Did you manage to do some of The Queen's Birthday activities yesterday?
If you have the opportunity today to go outside on your daily walk or in your gardens, have a look for some natural materials such as leaves, twigs and sticks. Have a go at creating 'Your Face In Nature'.
Arrange your materials to create a portrait of your face, then try to create somebody else's face or even the face of a pet or a teddy bear!

Thank you for your on-going support through this challenging time.

Take a look at the following video showing the Christian Story of Easter. You could draw a series of pictures to re-tell the story or write some sentences about the different things that happened to Jesus during Easter time.
